Jewelry Care
Genuine silver is a metal that stands the test of time. However, it can tarnish due to dirt and the acidity of your skin. When you deem it necessary, you can simply take a cloth and rub your silver jewelry to restore its shine. Unlike brass jewelry, tarnished silver becomes shiny again after cleaning. You can also try cleaning it using a homemade recipe. However, we do not recommend using these recipes too often, as they are abrasive and will remove the shine from your jewelry. (They give a dull effect if you use them too often.)
14K GOLD VERMEIL:
Vermeil is a silver alloy coated with gold, considered a precious metal. At Boa Bijoux, we use a 14K solid gold plating. Vermeil jewelry is of very high quality. It does not tarnish. However, if worn daily, repeated contact with water, sweat, or certain products applied to the skin can gradually alter the plating. The jewelry will then regain its silver hue, as it is made of real silver underneath the plating.
